Dear Cedar Valley Community,

With widespread fear hitting almost everyone, many are confused, concerned and even closed off to the ripple effect of the cancelations and closings across our country and the market adjustments due to this situation. I definitely come to you as an expert on the virus, nor do I want to be insensitive to the topic, however, I do come to you with a perspective as a real estate professional leading the number one team in the State of Iowa.

We know that what we do here at Amy Wienands Real Estate affects so many people around us, not only the amazing clients who trust us each and every day, and not just my team of 30+  but the many people who we employ because of what we do. The lending companies, home inspectors, title companies, appraisers, contractors, cleaning companies, moving companies, attorneys, and many, many more. When these individuals are all doing well, it translates to local shops, restaurants, travel! And when our local economy is thriving, so are our local charities, schools, hospitals, churches, and others who all give back so much to this great community we call home. These are all local people who we do business with, and they rely on us to keep selling homes and sending business their way. And we take that very, very seriously.

We are encouraging our homeowners to take advantage of this strong seller's market, with hundreds of buyers who are desperately looking to find the right home. This means the top value for our sellers. And we’re guiding our buyers to take advantage of the historically low-interest rates and negotiate the best deal for them and their new home. So that when all of this is over, they will be settled and thankful! This is why it is so important for me to encourage you to not fall into fear and become paralyzed by the constant media reports spreading panic, but instead embrace the place we are in and seize the opportunity to make great financial decisions and maximize on our current market conditions.
